This could go on throughout the 2020’s. It took 10 years for a player contract dispute to be settled and UEFA lost, which whilst being irrelevant to our case, makes you smile.
But do we want this hanging over us for 10 years, the press and sky bringing it up week after week, during every game every press conference.

Conn has completely lost his head on this, and needs to be advised to take a couple of weeks off to cool down - he's just waffling incoherently now, apparently in some desperate need to seize the narrative on this story, but with less and less to add of genuine value or insight with every additional article he posts.

He's allowed his emotions to stray into his reporting, and someone needs to take his laptop off him before he has a public meltdown over City's compliance (or otherwise) with FFP.

Its painful to watch a grown man behaving like this!

I'm not sure how much of this is Conn following the editorial line of a paper that wants to politicise football by writing bile about City and making false claims about our ownership, and Conn simply knows what side his bread's buttered on. So he writes more invective against City, gets a firm pat on his head by his editor at the end of the day, then goes home and has a warm hot chocolate.

Either way, he's coming across more and more desperate to the point where he's gone beyond half-truths and politicisation to now telling outright lies. I watched Joker yesterday and have to say, the similarities between him and Conn are chilling. He really is struggling to tell the difference between what's real and not, is becoming increasingly desperate and delusional, and I worry it's a matter of time before he has a full-on meltdown on a podcast or talkshow.

He needs some time away imo.

Just think the blokes an idiot.

What’s the alternative?

Taking a reduced punishment, effectively admitting guilt, continuing to have FFP hinder our development and operations (which will be compounded by a ban of anything length or fine of any amount from this instance), and then looking out for the next UEFA/cartel attack via FFP?

I think it's more of a hair shirt he chooses to wear because he was a City fan.

His niche has always been fighting against corruption/bad owners. When his own club became a target that he had to write about, it looks like he went full in to avoid being seen as biased, when the reality is that most of the issues with our owners, throughout the past ten years or so years, aren't clear cut (they're certainly not angels, but there are definitely legitimate grievances).
