Thinking about it more, I'm wondering if Soriano could survive CAS rejecting our appeal. He's putting himself out there a bit with this and really not giving an inch in terms of these allegations having no merit whatsoever and that clear evidence exists to prove it. There's been a lot of "trust me" over the last few days. In any other business the CEO would probably be fired if it didn't work out.
Because his big, big boss knows exactly we have been screwed

The interview was fine (even if it was three days late), but they obviously should've done this with literally any journalist except the one employed by the club. Very difficult for me to believe they couldn't have found someone on good terms to ask these same questions. Agree them beforehand, whatever. This is what the PR department is for.
I think you`re doing him a disservice there ref the timescale.
He openly stated that the Club had to go through their legal sources before any announcement could be made. The wrong wording could have prejudiced the Clubs case.

Quite serious. This is all optics at this point and whatever you think of the media you're going to get far more credit for doing the interview in front of an actual journalist rather than someone employed by the club. The content stays exactly the same.
It was a message for the MCFC family, a message to chill and it will be all ok.

The crowing to the mainstream media will come after CAS throws out the ban, along with a few libel and slander actions.

Did you not hear what ferano said? It's took this long as they had to go through what they could say.
Name one journalist then who you think was suitable? Go on. I bet you can't.

Why not?

Because they're all ****s, every last one of them from Lipton to Harris, to a man write shite about us, why the fuck would we want them to interview us?

Martin Samuel is the only decent geezer out there in a sea of absolute shit.

I cannot believe you have posted such an absurd take on the ferano statement.

Courtesy of the genius Rabin:

"It was kind of expected. It is no secret that UEFA has a history of corruption and that FFP was implemented to protect the big cartel clubs from new upcoming clubs that could surpass them. I stand with Manchester City."

Ronaldinho [One of the best footballers I''ve ever had the pleasure to watch and he's smart too]
They were made up quotes. “Radio Favela” kind of gave it away. Plus the fact that Ronaldinho almost exclusively played for the cartel clubs. If he was to pass comment, I’m sure he’d side with them not us.

City and their fans should immediately boycott The Sun for the horrible article reported by Simon Jordan, who himself failed with Crystal Palace ten years ago I believe. I won't put a link here as it would simply help their circulation numbers.
I stumbled on it earlier. I won't link it either for the same reason but in summary he backs UEFA, says we're owned by a nation state, that we (club AND fans) have a victim mentality and are a fabricated club with no history.

I kind of wished I bought newspapers so I could stop but haven't for many years.

I do not see any obligation on our part to use a journalist not employed by City for this interview. It is intended as a message from the club not a q&a session.

Unnecessary negative slant, to what gain?

I didn't think his post was particularly negative but just highlighting something that we should all keep in the back of our minds, the possibility that no matter how far we go with the appeal there are no guarantees that we will receive a positive resolution. We would all like to think so and put our full trust in our owners but ultimately no one can predict the outcome of the appeal so should think about both scenarios until we are in the clear.

As PB pointed out in his interview with Cheesy, you can have what you think is a watertight case but that doesn't mean you will win.
