Manchester City will NOT be forced into a fire sale of their top players if a two-year ban remains in place and could even benefit financially from their time out of Europe, according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire. [via @Jack_Gaughan]

Kieran Maguire: "There would be no need for a firesale. They will actually benefit from not being in Europe because FFP limits under UEFA are €30million losses over three years, compared to £105m under Premier League limits."

Does that make any sense?

6 and half a dozen really. We will probably still be worse off without CL money I think, would need to see the figures of how much we make from that.

Edit: we only made €45m from participating last season so actually a fair bit of leeway.

I guess it means we can lose 75m more over the three years, but if we make 45m a year then over the two years by neing in the CL we could be only 15m better off if our owner put in the maximum ammount to cover the loss.

The one and only thing I feel fatigued about is the worry of the money I have to pay to watch City these days.

The media, social media, the hate, the jealousy, the vitriol... I fucking embrace all that shit! I used to thrive off it with a drive and passion when we won nothing and United had that banner, and I thrive off all the bile now as I imagine everyone squirming every time we win.

Being a fan of this City is much easier than being a fan of 80s 90s and 00s City!

This news of the ban on Friday really reawakened that desperate feeling I used to have when we were worried about relegation. But other than this week, the last 12 years have been easy compared to some past times.

It’s FACT that their sponsorship deal was overvalued by 93m based on an independent analysis versus the figure Leterme decided to go with.
