It’s still the referees decision in rugby, he’s never overruled.

Now it is, because the technology is better and they just put stuff on the screen, but a few years ago TMO's could make decisions and the referee would accept it, or they'd ask for it to be put on the screen if they were skeptical.

and now the same guy, after either idiotically or deliberately making such a huge mistake, now goes 3 hours later to VAR our game. Even someone making a legitimate error of that magnitude should be pulled.

Considering Coote “rock and rolled” it about 20 times in a matter of seconds, how have they now decided it was an error? Just makes it even more laughable that he didn’t tell Oliver to go and watch it on the monitor, seeing as that’s exactly why they told us they were going to start doing.
