This is bonus for City and possibly out of the return leg at our place. Madrid still a very good side but they are beatable and we can cause them problems. No defensive brainfarts please City and we have a decent chance.

They don't seem to have particularly quick players. If we can move the ball quickly and attack with pace, we should be able to beat them.

Ederson
Walker
Mendy
Otamendi
Laporte
Rodri
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Mahrez
Aguero
Jesus

At our core will be Laporte Otamendi and Rodri. They will have played plenty of times at the Bernabau and won't be phased by the occasion. Otamendi doesn't fare well against blistering pace but it seems to me Real haven't got that.

Liverpool away: Aguero, Sterling and Bernie, no Mahrez or Jesus.

Man U away: Sterling, Bernie and Mahrez, no Aguero or Jesus.

Spurs away: Sterling, Mahrez, Aguero, no Bernie or Jesus.

Leicester away: Mahrez, Aguero, Bernie, no Sterling or Jesus.

We won't see all of Sterling, Aguero, Mahrez and Bernie at Bernabeu, that would be too attacking. If Raz is in, two out of Kun, Gabby and Mahrez will be on the bench. No way we take Gundy out to put in an attacker in Raz.

Pep might surprise me/us though. Think we will play well anyway.

That’s the line up I’d go with, though I’d love pep to put Fernandinho back in midfield alongside Rodri make us a lot more solid at the possible expense of Mahrez, saying that I’ve a bad feeling gundogan will start ..
