Can’t remember now, did Pep win it the last 2 seasons then? Pardew and Pullis ffs, 2 of the all time greats

They couldn't very well not for the last two seasons. Out of 26 MOTS awards 22 have gone to the Premier League winning manager. Klopp will of course be the 23rd out of 27. Of the other four, two of them were City managers (Mancini in 2012 and Pellegrini in 2014). The other two winners were Burley in 2001 and Redknapp in 2010.

Thanks for the info. Staggering that Mancini won City’s first title in 44 years and didn’t win it, and Pellers won it in his first season in the country, scoring masses of goals in the process, and didn’t win it

Pellegrini won the PL title and League Cup double in his first season in England. The following year Mourinho won the same two trophies in his second spell in England yet got the MOTS award.

Sorry, you're basically right. According to Rule R54: "If three arbitrators are to be appointed* [in appeals procedure proceedings], the President of the Division shall appoint the President of the Panel following nomination of the arbitrator by the Respondent and after having consulted the arbitrators."

I checked it the other night when someone suggested we'd have no say in who'd be the third arbitrator, but was reckless in going with my memory rather than checking how that control would be exercised.

* - As previous decisions suggest is standard in UEFA cases, and presumably provided for in the settlement agreement.
That’s cool

This sounds positive, but what will he be able to do? We have already appointed some of the most powerful legal minds. Possibly a bit of lobbying, but surely we are well beyond that stage.

A nice definitive statement from a crown prince head of state that he gave the money to Etihad airways in order to secure world wide publicity of his business would be lovely.

A great big fuck you to UEFA followed by slapping the appeal/dismissal on CASs table.

Can hear the teeth gnashing already.
