I've recently purchased George Hicks 1926 FA Cup Final shirt which is missing the shirt badge unfortunately, long shot I know but hoping the badge is out there somewhere.

I would love to reunite it with the shirt and I’m convinced I saw it advertised not long go somewhere.

Funny how the shade of blue is not 'proper City sky blue". It's almost... ahem... laser blue.

That looks very similar to the all-denim team combo for the Real game! It's all a bit spooky. Perhaps, the spirit of '26 might rise again - we lost the final, but battered the Ragamuffins in the first 6-1! And Alec Watson Sports! That doesn't half ring a large bell. I'm sure I used to walk past that shop on my way to school. Where was it?

They had two, apparently. One on Oxford Street and the other on Piccadilly, were any of these on your walking route?

EDIT:
33-35 Oxford Street (possibly where the Paramount Wetherspoons sits now).
39 Piccadilly (possibly near Wellington House overlooking the gardens)

It would have been the Piccadilly one. I probably clocked it from the top deck of the 109, when I had not chosen the 213 trolley bus from Thompson Street!
Possibly on the corner next to where Wellington House is now. Think it was a Spud-u-like for a while, but I could be wrong, I'm not a regular visitor to town and never have been/will be. Would be good to get a photo to confirm it - the sports shop not the spud-u-like.
