I`m more and more convinced that Ceferein is not only behind City but that he wants to rid UEFA of the so called G14 shitbags.
Ceferin's a politician and wants what's best for UEFA, which is stability and money rolling in from TV companies. But his main earners, the G14, only care what they can get out of it and if they can get more outside UEFA than inside, they'd walk away without a second glance. What UEFA should have done is call their bluff over their constant threats to form a Super League. Tell them to go ahead if they want but no player plays for his national team ever again while he's playing for one of those clubs, no TV company or commercial partner gets a look in at the Euros or any other UEFA competition if they back the breakaway league and when the world gets bored of watching the same 16 teams play each other and they come crawling back, they are banned from the CL/EL for 5 years.

I was going to ask that
The two chambers of the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) of UEFA. IC stands for Investigatory Chamber while AC stands for Adjudicatory Chamber. City has complained about the way the investigation led by Leterme, chief of the IC chamber, has been conducted. The AC chamber, led by José Narciso da Cunha Rodrigues, has confirmed (or even worsened) the recommendations made by the IC and asked for a 2 year ban + fine sanction.

Sad thing is that we’ll want to be a part of that 16 team league.

there is a bit of a sporting precedence for this approach, ie the TCCB response to the Kerry Packer cricket circus, although the reasons were significantly different (breaking apartheid sanctions if memory serves) and it was a response to players rather than to clubs, but the principle is similar
