Angelino's was as bad if not worse in the home derby. David Brightwell playing left back at the shit tip was the worst ever. I was in the home bit suffering like fuck for that one.
We got the result our performance and attitude deserved.Nah, both goals were blatant mistakes. We wouldn't have lost the game with a normal goalkeeping performance
Pep is being outfoxed in these games. Unfortunately it happened many ties this season by lesser teams. He would be livid if we put out a half arsed performance like this vs Real Madrid ad we go out of CL next week because of it.
Still cant believe what Ederson was doing all match, he was sulking even before the first goal arguing with defenders and he angrily made some long balls from the back to absolutely nowhere near to City player even Pep looked back at him that what is he doing this is before his first mistake...
We have to stop this madness letting quick attacker run at our defenders 1 vs 1. This can cost us the CL again.We need to support the defence from midfield but you wont be able to do that with a slow Rodri/Gundo duo they never will sprint back to help out as they are too slow for that.

Again, us being better than united doesn’t make losing a derby ok, if anything it makes it worse that a far inferior side has beaten us 3 times. You can list all of our problems but Uniteds are 100 times worse. They managed to get up for the Derby’s though. Not saying I’d swap positions with them, I just wouldn’t select a strange team most times we played them which jeopardises a result.
There are reasons why Pep selected these players. He proritises the cups now and gives squad members the chance to prove themselves in a really big game while reasonably managing the fitness of the players expected to start in the CL. Nobody could have seen in advance that Ederson would have a stinker. It's not that it's ok to lose a derby but that shit happens. It's not like Pep is indifferent to losses or to the possibility of losing three times from any manager, let alone Ole of all managers. It's that we have much more important games than Manure, even Sheff W away was more important in the grand scheme of things.
We got the result our performance and attitude deserved.
Nobody deserved Ederson's mistakes, why gloss over them as if such things don't decide games?

He will be properly appreciated by some fans only after he leaves. Before that they will try to convince themselves it won't be such a big loss because he doesn't get the fans, the derby, plays Rodri and Gundogan, tolerates half-arsed performances, etc.

Where was the marking for the free kick that led to the first goal to get his shot away? Zinchenko, Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo ect all had shockers on Sunday. The result was down to the performance. Of course, individual mistakes decide the outcome of games, especially really bad mistakes. It's silly to argue otherwise. We weren't great but it's normal as we made 6 changes to the team that won at Bernabeu and 5 changes to the team that won 3:1 in January.
Imagine that De Gea had made such mistakes and we had won. We'd be praising Pep now.

Unfortunately with the way we play our defenders will always have to defend 1 v 1 because of the numbers we commit forward.
