He actually came through the ranks at Barnsley, just like John Stones.

Holgate recently signed a new 5 year deal at Everton so I expect the City rumours were part of his/his agent's negotiation process.

We need HG defender to replace Stones. Holgate is better than him. Ake would be another option. Then we can sign top foreign CB to take Ota's spot.
