The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

I told the misses your thoughts on this as she wanted two of everything
Thanks to you

My girls mad at me don’t post any more advice your an embarrassment
Sounds like she's going one step beyond what I suggested. Welcome to the house of fun, temptations on its way

Went shopping earlier tonight. The shelves were low on most aisles.
Pasta not expected in stock till next week.
Certainly a lot of people have bulk bought items the last few days.

nope, just a regular little necessity shop today, but we witnessed the madness for the first time, despite the news saying not to hoard. Bog roll the only thing sold out, and the canned goods and pasta and sauce isle 2/3ds empty. everything else in good supply.
No need to panic buy as the news stated, but all checkouts jammed with a line-up all around the perimeter of the store to the back one way, 3 staff letting go one at time and directing folks to the next shortest line. the self checkout was the same in the other direction.
We only had 12 items, went to the express lane and were out of the store in 10 minutes instead of 1/2 hr. or longer wait.
We also shop the dollar stores for some name brand things that are way cheaper and they are still full stock on all food.

Went to the Greek butcher today and did a u turn as soon as I got inside. Absolutely mobbed. I thought it was Greek lamb sacrifice weekend.
I'll try again at tomorrow 8:00am when it opens.
