Ever been ripped off?

It’s a small one but I won so....

about 8-9 year ago ordered a bunch of T-shirt’s off a site electric-ts or something like that, all band T-shirt’s about £60 worth. They said didn’t have stock, wait and wait and wait. Googled them for reviews and everyone said scam. Luckily upon googling the fuck out of the company found the MDs address and it happened to be in chorlton, so I sent it them on an email with a note saying I live 2 mile away. Funnily enough I got a cheque in the post for a full refund.
Don’t let these cunts off lightly, threaten, harass and fuckin scare the fuckers it’s the only way

Sounds very similar to the M6 salesman. Who would go up n down the M6 and stop at the service stations. Call you over and claim he had some left overs from an Armani conference however had to get rid of samples due to bag allowance
Same fxxker scam had me about 19 years ago, same thing as you but he wanted £300 for 3 jackets, heading to catch my flight I said I didn't have that kind of money and in no time he was down to £100 for all 3.
Thought I'd keep one and offload the other two for £50 each. My mate said he could shift them but to this day never saw them again or the money and the one I kept fitted like a donkey jacket.
Probably the only time I was scammed proper but we have had a great laugh about it over the years- fxxking Armani my arse

Since i have been on my own plenty of tried,in particular garages, unlucky for them i know quite a lot about cars and what goes wrong with them,i eventually found a good garage

The others are the tradesmen who try and put on their form a much earlier time of arrival to try and make you go over the hr and have to pay more,i take a pic of the time they really arrived when they put it on the form so they can't change it and i tell them they have to fix it in the hr as i have no money to go over

They would all be mad if someone tried to rip their mum off (ok nan)

That is shit barky, can you put in an insurance claim?[
The airline gave us back $1,600.00. I think that's all we'll get. I was under the impression that visa insured me for cancellation. Apparently not the visa travel platinum card. I just want some fucking sun after 6 mos of crap.

There was a bad attempt to rip me off in Istanbul but thankfully I began to realise it was a con and tricked my way out. I had two nights in Turkey on my way to Azerbaijan for a Wales match.

I was finishing my chicken kebab in a bistro bar near Taksim Square when two overtly friendly lads approached me. They were interested in my Wales football shirt mistakenly thinking it was Liverpool (like fuck) and were all “Gareth Bale team” when they worked out where it was. They claimed to be Cypriots although I now think they were Turks. One insisted on buying me another Efes and we sat together having a pint. My guard was down as I was merry.

One thing led to another and they insisted on another drink in a club they knew. Three girls were handedly waiting for us in a booth and drinks arrived. It dawned on me that I was in a hostess bar and that I’d not seen a menu for the prices. I went to the toilets and put my credit card, passport and all cash bar 50 Lira in my trainer and went back to the table. I couldn’t leave without getting past about four doormen.

A bill for 6600 Lira arrived and the two Cypriots insisted we had to pay it or we’d be killed. They were in on it obviously. They asked me for 2200 Lira to pay my share and I said I didn’t have it. I then tried to force my way out but a further half a dozen lads had turned up and one threw me up against the wall. The manager told them to leave me alone and led me to a corner.

I opened up my wallet to show just 50 Lira and he went through it to check no cards etc. He made me empty my pockets too. Upon seeing I had nothing and believing my story that the lads said they’d pay; he let me leave for free. I got a kick and a punch in the back from the goons but left largely unscathed. It was frightening.

I went to the little cafe bar next to my hotel for a beer to calm down and retrieve everything from my trainer. A quick Google told me it’s a popular scam and I’m just thankful I got away with it.

Never allow anyone to take you to a bar you don’t know whilst you’re away. They have clip joints in London etc.
This scam is so rife around the world, it's a classic. Sorry you got caught up in it. Know you were pissed but alarm bells should have rung before you entered the doors of that dodgy "club"

Once bought a couple of crushed Paracetamol for £15 in Hippos thinking it was an E bomb, didn't dance all night tho no headache in the morning.

Sadly they didn’t. It took fifteen minutes inside before I knew I’d been set up. The lads were really friendly and they’d built up my trust first.

I’m 40 and it’s the first time its ever happened to me. When I excused myself to use the toilet, I hid anything valuable as I suspected they might try and escort me to a cash point machine. The idiots didn’t think I had put it all in my shoe.

I fooled the people who tried to fool me. I take some pleasure from that and laughed as my flight left Istanbul for Baku.
