City & United donate £100,000 to Greater Manchester food banks

Am I the only cynic among us. Two of the richest clubs in the world, its a gesture they need to do every week. I personally scrape together many items that I can ill afford every week for our food banks and woman's aid. Times are very hard and the rich among us need to do alot more.

City pay a similar amount every day in taxes that helps to pay for schools, the NHS and welfare etc. (I assume our share is 50k)

Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t Both
Clubs do lots for the community a lot more than other sporting organisations Do the PFA or would they rather spend it £2M on a painting? They are not charities who can mend everything just because they are “wealthy” Remember they have no income coming in, are faced with repaying ticket and season card monies and no doubt the sponsors and media will be demanding a refund I say well done we are truly a CityUnited

It just feels like a token jester as the food bank itself asked the clubs to help.
Here’s a jester token.
