Self Isolation: Time to Learn New Skills...?

I've picked up enough to shop, eat, and generally get by but I couldn't express myself in a proper conversation. I work in english, I socialise mostly in english and I watch mostly english tv. All too easy and i've been too lazy. doesn't really matter now as I don't think i will be here much longer.

Where to next? I’ve too much going on in life to contemplate a move abroad but I feel I could do with change before too long. Germany #1 on the list.

Anyone mentioned rubik's cube yet.... My lad got one for Xmas and I picked it up and spent a month learning how to solve it.

That was a time filler

my kind of guy!
I spent a happy 20 minutes going through my 5 bags of wires today looking for a spare HDMI cable.
Managed to condense my several bags into one with a bit of ruthless de-cluttering. It was a wrench but i think scart leads and phono to phono have had their day. Bluetooth and wireless have seen to that..

You’ve not picked any up? I suppose it depends on your business too.

I spend some time socially with first language Welsh types from Caernarfon / Bangor and have picked bits up. I’ve the fortune of being good with languages.

Didn't Al Murray once describe the Welsh language as ' code '. Been here over 5 years and only picked a three words..makes us both smile when clients and locals try and talk to me in Welsh and i just reply aimlessly in English....Oh yes !!
