So China builds new hospitals to cope with the pandemic as does Spain etc, USA needs more beds. But when we convert Excel to increase capacity down south which is a hot spot of known cases everyone thinks the worse. We know more deaths will occur due to the virus but surely increasing the number of beds at least gives people a chance rather than having them on trollies in corridors. In some eyes it doesn’t matter what the government does it will be wrong. Everyone’s a fucking expert on here

Quite the opposite. No one’s having a go at the government for doing it. It’s more the reality of the seriousness of situation being laid bare when seeing the size of the fucking thing as opposed to reading about numbers.

No it hasn’t. It’s genome has been thoroughly examined by every government and lab in the world and they all say the same thing. There’s no gene splicing, it’s a natural evolution of Coronavirus.

Earlier I saw that Swine Flu killed nearly 200k in 2009. I must have slept through that. Never knew it was so high.

Apparantly, the virus has been in the UK from the end of January starting in a village in East Sussex as a result of skiers returning from this Auatrian Ski resort where they play the game 'Beer Pong' where you pick a table tennis ball out of someone elses drink with your teeth and put it in your own drink.

It would explain the early critical case in East Sussex with no link to any other case.

It's a journalist with a theory.

The "findings" have not been proven beyond doubt.

I don't believe it, a high security BSL4
lab located in close proximity to the origin is pretty damning.

Despite that it's here, it's present and it's dangerous.

This recombination mechanism had already been described in coronaviruses, in particular to explain the origin of SARS-CoV. It is important to know that recombination results in a new virus potentially capable of infecting a new host species. For recombination to occur, the two divergent viruses must have infected the same organism simultaneously.

Two questions remain unanswered: in which organism did this recombination occur? (a bat, a pangolin or another species?) And above all, under what conditions did this recombination take place?
