I'm surprised no-one has suggested expunging just the return fixtures of the 19/20 season and play that half season when safe to do so and when teams have prepared properly.

Apparently plans are in place to move all the people from Anglesey back to the mainland and build a temporary ground ready for the Premier league to resume in May, the bridges will be manned 24/7 by the army with orders to shoot anyone approaching, all the teams will be dropped by helicopter like they do in celebrity jungle to make it more entertaining and you will be able to make bets on which players you think will hit the ground like a egg. This is key,they will put players,coaches and everyone else at risk but if it touches their lives it would be a different story

Don’t you just create more games ‘to go’ by doing that? Unless you’re suggesting that table becomes the final standings having played everybody once.

Karen7 That is the only way that any of those who run the Premier League, will sit up and listen The deputy head of the NHS in England has come out and said, that he dose not expect the coronavirus to hit it's peak till somewhere around the middle to the end of May at the earliest. So if you allow another 3/4 weeks after that your looking towards the end of June. That is if is estimate is right for it to reach it's peak. Should this doctor be out by a week or more before it's peak say it's peak is toward the end of may, then your looking at it starting football again towards the middle end of July.

Then you will have to put the start of season 2020/21 back a couple of weeks. This then will have an knock of effect on the European Championships which have been already been put back by a year. Then during the 2020/21 season don't we start the run up to the World Cup in2022. That also has to be put back. The best thing to do is to cancel all football till this has died down and we have had at least 2 weeks where there has been no deaths from this coronavirus.

At this point I'm nearing the 'just give them the damn thing' point of view. If I was of a more paranoid way of thinking I'd also be wondering if that's the point of the endless extensions.
