With all our recent problems scoring penalties, I was wondering: who would be City's best 5 penalty takers if there was a penalty shoot-out? (Any from history)
I'd pick Eric Brook, Ken Barnes, Franny Lee, Mario Balotelli and of course Yaya Toure.
Re the first two: my dad used to tell me that Brook packed dynamite in his left boot and used to smash penalties with such force that they nearly burst the net. Brooky was short and stocky, like Lee, but had a hell of a powerful shot. I chose Ken Barnes (Peter's dad, you youngsters) because in December 1957 he scored a hat-trick of pens against Everton, when we won 6-2. He was regarded as the best uncapped wing-half in England.
The last three speak for themselves, I think.
