Actor with the greatest range

Well playing Deadpool and being on EastEnders as well as his King Lear being the pride of Lichfield means he is knocking on the door.

An absolute brilliant bad guy. He was a fantastic bastard in Robin Hood and the same in Die Hard but such different flavours of bad. The cruel tyranical Sheriff and the cool calm highly intelligent thief who simply has little value for life. Then the subverted expectation and reveal in Harry Potter, great storyline very few could pull off convincingly but he did.

Has anyone noticed how "great performance" is just code for "went on a diet for 6 months before shooting" nowadays?
