Furloughed - What will you be doing?

My daughter was furloughed yesterday from a Monday.
Company being great.
Full pay until end of April then the company will make up the 20% drop.
She has already volunteered to help elsewhere free of charge.

My wife said the word furloughed yesterday and my response was 'what the actual fuck??' Never heard of the word til yesterday now its bleeding everywhere, think someone just made up a new word to cover the situation.

That's not right.

You can take on other paid employment if it doesn't breach your current contract with your employer.

However, you shouldn't do any paid work during the usual hours you are currently expected to work.

That’s interesting my guidelines say you can’t take another paid job full stop, I suppose it depends on your terms and conditions.
