After using my local shop a lot more than usual .

yup. Use the local shop for fresh rolls (baps/muffins), the occasional carry out, stuff that I have forgotten, breakfast stuff and Tesco for main shop. The local shop specialises in craft beer, malt whisky and gin and does a roaring trade in their own label Gin which I have been known to purchase. Have known the lads that run it for over 20 years.

A short term goodwill effect, with a few customers sticking but most reverting to what suits them best.

Yeh pal usually get bits in the week from local shop but think in future will use them more , ours have been brilliant during all ov this

I use my local butcher and there is a great DIY/all sorts store in my 'village'. I get my milk and eggs from the milkman and try to always use the smaller retailers. I do not trust tescos one little bit, sharks who prey on suppliers.

It's funny, but I'm actually using the local shop less, as we are trying not to keep popping down for things we have forgotten, run out of or just fancy the thought of. If we haven't got it, we're going without.

Saying that some other small local enterprises are doing deliveries and we are utilising those. I doubt that will carry on beyond the lockdown though.

I didn't realise until recently that Tesco has over 30% of the grocery market. It's far too big and powerful. Needs to be broken up, imo.
