Risk is tough with less than 3 real players isn't it? We have the GoT version too, you basically take it in turns to take the turn of the imaginary third person but obviously you just end up using that turn to your gain.

bit like the original game, but with added twists for 2 players.

Go - simpler, but With more depth than chess!

Monopoly, Risk, Trivial Pursuit and Cluedo are my favourites. Better with more than 2 players though.

Carcassonne works well with 2, as does Pandemic which is cooperative, but maybe a little inappropriate for the times!

If you like Harry Potter then the Hogwarts Battle games might be worth a try.

It may be a bit wobbly at times, but there are online sites where they can be played.

Scotland Yard is good, better with more, if just 2, let the chaser play 2 or more pieces
