Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

We are already seeing it too with regards school returns, unions aren't gonna have their teachers compromised in any way, just so others can go back to bloody work.
Most countries are opening schools to help kick start their economies. Govt Ministers are in discussions with both the unions and industry on how best this can be achieved.

Reading how a lot of people on social media are advocating for point per game (ppg) to come into the equation especially regarding relegation - how can this even be done fairly? Let's imagine the team in 18th has played 4/6 big teams twice and has 'x' points, whereas team in 17th only played 2/6 big teams twice, and has 'x+1' points - how would it be fair to relegate team in 18th based on this method? It's total nonsense - teams could've tactically sacrificed games vs big teams to rest players for game against other lower table clubs !

And UEFA can spout a lot of shite - I doubt champions league will even happen next season given flights will be the last thing to open - 1 less headache to null and voiding the league imo

I posted may have been this thread not 100% sure, there is certain influential people pushing for and calling in huge favours regards getting the season completed at all costs, the Coronavirus is seen as an inconvenience to them, and the same with the large number of deaths,..
Who are these people?

Clubs will just charter planes so that won't be a problem.

If airports are closed except to cargo flights then they can charter as mnay planes as they want , they won't be disembarking to play a game of football in some countries

There is no certainty of WHEN but there is a growing feeling that the #PL are ready to push ahead with games behind closed doors but also potentially at neutral venues. The Premier League will also discuss coronavirus testing procedures on Friday.
