Used to go to Pips most weekends..great place to go and it wasn't full of knobheads..often went in Roxy room too..

R.I.P Dave. I was also a Pips regular and all the other venue's Dave played including the Hac' and met him at Stone Roses after gig parties. Lovely, unassuming and extremely knowledgeable.

Sad to read about this. I’d forgotten his name I’m ashamed to say, but i used to frequent an indie-dance /Madchester night in London, Camden maybe, back in the early 90s and I’m sure he was resident - maybe he made a weekly trip down there to do it. Great memories and sorry to read of his passing.
