Does anyone know if uefa have to prove guilt ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ as in a criminal case or if it’s ‘burden of proof’ as in civil cases?

That’s exactly correct. No laws were broken whatever took place so there’s nothing that can be done if the money flowed from Etihad to City. UEFA have no power to see Etihad’s books.

I suspect this will be our trump card to play.

I think Etihad will allow CAS to see their books and the transaction in question.

The non-compliance from City with regards Uefa served us on two fronts.

We made it clear we had little trust in their process or the ability to keep things private.

More cynically, we had this card to play all along and have wanted to play it on the platform that serves us best, at CAS.

Unfortunately I believe this is a never ending shit show. If UEFA weren’t confident of their sanction standing irrespective of the vile G14 gang pressure I doubt they would have thrown the book at us. If the sanction does stick expect the Premier League hateful eight to turn up the wick, points deductions, stripped of titles etc etc . They want us gone and even if they have done worse, which they have I just don’t think we can beat them.

I look forward to being wrong.
