Good to hear that, they've disappeared from our garden along with siskins. A virus apparently. I've put up a smaller pic hope you can see it now.

I reckon the yellowhammers have gone with them. It's a sound I miss

We don't have Jackdaws out here, just crows and ravens..great birds

It's jackdaws that guard the Tower of London, isn't it? I think the legend is that if the jackdaws go, the kingdom will fall.

Edit: it's ravens. I wanted it to be jackdaws.

Has a sparrow on the window ledge this morning,tapping on the window,they do that quite often,maybe testing out of it is space or a window

The two back Windows are massive, i have to keep the curtain closed in the kitchen because the news birds,especially the young ones fly straight into them,interesting though it is almost always the bigger birds,i think the little ones are more savy

We've a couple of collared doves as regular visitors, and a rare visit from a jay today. I was too slow with the camera though.

They're a pain in the arse, keep trying to chase my Northern Flickers off the suet feeder

Not acceptable in any culture to mess with the suet feeder. Is nothing sacred?

It really is unacceptable, especially when they're chasing off one of these
