The book by Peter Straub was far superior and unsettling. The film was fairly poor but noteworthy because of Fred Astair in his last film:

I've always enjoyed this film, probably because it was always on tv when i was a kid. It's a bit overlong but it holds up imo.

Not a 100% but think so but it was donkeys years ago and remember next to nothing tbh. I do however remember Alice Krige in the buff. Got the blu ray too.

You would remember! Scared the living shit out of me. It has a dream/nightmare like quality that the film missed completely. If you can get hold of it worth a re-read.

Like i said not a 100% but i read a few of his along with King, Barker etc as a kid. "Koko" i think was another. Im horror mad btw, always have been. If you notice my posts in this thread you will notice they are all horror and "B" movies( except for "The Goonies"). Leonardo Di Caprio's best film for me is "Critters 3"
