Flicking through TV stations caught the last few minutes of the 89 scouse (not English) FA Cup Final which place five weeks after Hillsborough. Can our resident scousers explain why hundreds of fans were sat on the running track rather than sitting in their seats or standing on the terraces. And at the final whistle their was a pitch invasion which the police and stewards appeared to allow.
Also did you see scousers getting lifted out of the Kop on stretchers straight after the second goal, all through the game you could see the kop was over filled probably with jibbers, they never learnt.

This was the only time I've ever known a pitch invasion during and after an FA cup final and it just happened to involve them....coming just weeks after the 2nd stadium disaster in 4 years which both just happened to involve them....

Think the 1923 final had a pitch invasion - the white horse final. It's surely a coincidence though isn't it that all these games involve them.
