Coronavirus: Football Discussion Thread

The latest on "full contact" are they taking the piss ?

Players will be able to "train as a group and engage in tackling while minimising unnecessary close contact," a statement said.

How is that going to work for corners and free kicks ?

You do realise that these guidelines are for the next stage in the fitness training, not when games restart, or are you trying to be deliberately obtuse

Apologies if you just didn't understand the guidelines.

What are the infection rates in players in Germany like? Seems we are getting a few every day, but more and more clubs each time. Yes players are well paid and probably have very good measures in but they're obviously not fully working.

I wonder if we'll end up playing two rounds, then calling the whole thing off? Provided Liverpool register a couple of wins.

I don’t understand what is going on. Surely if some clubs have positive cases, that means some sort of quarantine for the players that have trained with the infected player.
The individual player goes into isolation at the moment because they are supposed to be keeping at least 2 m apart but now contact is allowed then everyone should go into isolation

Well at least they can "test and trace" from tomorrow. It could rapidly become a farce, if squads have to isolate, games will be postponed, it could go on forever, just as team A are all OK team B get a positive test and they isolate.....

If there's a test after a match, then both teams isolate.
