You're right absolutely not clever but he's genuinely just a young lad, one of the few who can get away with that excuse. No doubt he'll be very apologetic to the team and staff

??? So meeting 2 people at home is worse that being on a beach where half the country is not socially distancing. The people meeting in large groups at beaches, parks etc are acting like idiots and as though nothing has happened and unfortunately Phil was one of them.

He is 20yrs old with a partner and a baby,he is plenty grown up enough to not have an excuse,i thought he had more sense than this

Looks like his body has caught up with his football. He looked strong and no longer will he be bullied off the ball. The danger was the thugs would have gone for him and being too brave, he could easily get a bad injury. Phil will star next season.
