That’s a great shout. I heard him on the radio a few weeks ago and I remembered thinking what a great pro he was and how we should have picked him up after he left Tottenham.

He would have been perfect to come off the bench and win games. His application to his work would have been a great inspiration to the young players at the club.

David Nish , Leicester City , great defender , every season we were linked with him , he played against us in th '69 cup final and was superb , Clough eventually signed him for Derby, and they went on to win the title , not sure , but i think they broke the transfer record at the time , definitely one that got away.
