Who the fuck are can’t bring myself to say it

In 1963 when we
Fell into division 2
The stretford end cried out aloud
It’s the end of the Sky Blues
Joe Mercer came
We played again
We went to Rotherham
We won 1 0
And we were back to division one
Since then
We’ve won the league, we’ve won the cup, we’ve been to Europe too (and won)
And when we win the league this year
We’ll sing this song to you
City City

Not even close to being as shit as The Boys in Blue. Even as a fourteen year old that made me cringe. And it does fifty years later. I never sing along. A serious smell of ripe cheese about it, imo.
I love “City, tearing Cockneys apart again”, although it's just that. I always sing along with great gusto, because it allows me to celebrate both my team and one of my all time favourite groups. Londoners are not Cockneys, by the way, unless as seen from the perspective of Ancoats. I should know. I am one. And the idea of me being a Cockney would make anyone around Bethnal Green fall around laughing.
A true Cockney has to be born within the sound of Bow Bells.
