You're going a couple of months early! Champions League Final isnt until 23rd August.
Jeronimos monastery is worth seeing.
Not sure if its open, but the time out market is good.
Quite a nice city in my opinion, just wander round and find bars and restaurants

There are very good beaches around Cascais which can be reached by train from Lisbon Cais do Sodre station. Estoril, which is on the same train line as Cascais, has a big casino - not sure if that's open yet but if you want to chuck your money away...
Sintra is a good day-trip from Lisbon, 40 mins by train from Rossio station in the centre of Lisbon. There is a Moorish castle high up on the headland that's worth the climb if you're feeling fit and there's also a very ornate Palace nearby if you're interested in that kind of sightseeing.
There are lots of bars/restaurants and shops in Lisbon, better to have a wander around and find what suits you best, it's a great city for a short break with a decent undergound service so getting around is easy enough.

Just sit outside the Picnic bar in Rossio Square and you will be offered all the "sunglasses" you can want.Anyone got any tips on nice quiet bars, local beaches, decent places to shop etc?
The castle on the hill is worth a visit for the looks over the city, a boat trip up the river was enjoyable and I done the two stadium tours on one of my visits there.
The Metro out to the Expo site brings you at a big shopping centre, I didn't bother with the shopping, but there is a very large aquarium just through it and a cable car along the coast.
Just up from Rossio Square is an area with a choice of restaurants, and a smallish Irish bar near the war museum, very interesting if you like history, and the beach that the Irish landed on to kick Napoleon out of the Iberian Peninsula is about 30 minutes drive from the city.
It's about 12 years since I visited some of these, so might be worth checking before you go.
There is also a lift as you walk down from the square to the front that has some good views, and plenty of cafe bars and shops along these streets.

Not sure what food etc you're into but a couple off the top of my head (stick em in google maps);
A Cevicheria on Dom Pedro V, cracking cerviche if that's your thing
Evening beer and views in Jardim Sao Pedro just down the way from the above
Vai la Vai restaurant at the bottom end of Bairro Alto
Park Bar (you need to access the ground floor of a multi-storey and choose the top floor in the lift - excellent views. slightly wanky clientele).
Take the ferry over to Almada the other side of the river and walk the old industrial river front down towards the jesus statue
The new resistance museum about the revolution is good if you like history
A number of hotels have rooftop pools/bars with amazing views, just walk in go straight up, the staff dont usually bat an eyelid

forgot one, there's a good african food place near the castle, i think it's the Cantine, it's got great curry

Great City but I need to let you know something that nobody told me. It's known as the City of seven hills. Or as I like to call it, the City of swollen knee, shin splints and sciatica.

haha too true. When you do a full day's drinking, eating and walking in 30 degrees up and down them hills, you earn it. Sweats a lot of the booze out though.
