He is fine for the early stages of the cups, home games where we dominate possession and win 5-0, etc. And he's very important in the dressing room. The problem isn't him, it's that Nico and John are so unreliable that we have to rely on him. What needs to happen is for one or both of them to be moved on next season. Agree - he’s being badly misused, and is going to be harshly immersed in defensive chaos for the rest of his time here. Still our best central midfield anchor, and him being pulled out of the role is probably the single biggest factor in us falling so far behind Liverpool this season.
