Great video but if you’re worried that it’s only YouTube watch a few of his games against top opposition. Against Liverpool for example.

what always stuck out was his defending. He’s much better than Van Dijk defending 1v1. Koulibaly tries to make the tackle and is confident while the same can’t be said about Virgil, ie Sane goes past him, Van Dijk brings him down and we get no penalty, surprise. It’s just outrageous how good a defender Koulibaly is. All the ball playing is just extra.

Ridiculous analysis, if you are saying we have enough quality at centre back to win this league, against this Liverpool side and the sides below us who are improving then you either haven’t watched enough of us or need to look at us more objectively. No chance we would have won the league last year if Vinny didn’t come back in to the team for the last third/ quarter of the season.

Garcia will get plenty of games but he’s not yet good enough to be first choice and probably won’t be for a couple of years.

We need to buy a player that bosses the defence if laporte isnt playing.
We can’t buy a partner for laporte that isn’t capable of being the main man himself.
No point buying a replacement/slight upgrade on otamendi or stones as we’ll be in the same position we were this season when the defence wasn’t good enough for the relentlessness of the league.
If koulibaly is the only available player of that quality then make it happen and don’t worry about an extra 10-20m amortised over 4-5 years.
Wage demands is a different matter and must fit the structure.

1. Are you suggesting we are now interested in signing him?

2. Wouldn’t Aouar be replacing Silva?
