If you have just contact DVLA and tell them you are looking to buy this car and would like it's history.

That should give you all the past owners and their addresses

If you grab the guy's vehicle reg then I'm pretty sure the DVLA can give you the address the vehicle is registered to for a small fee (around a tenner). This is assuming he has registered it to his home address.

I know this by the way because some fat yokle bashed my car and drove off.

A person can request DVLA to 'hide' an address, I used to do it with my car due to my work.

But in general for £10 or so you can get it that way.

arrange for a quote from an address(any address) using a different phone,get a mate to make the call,make it late in the day so that there's a good chance it'll be his last stop of the day then follow him....

Or Just be at the house when he turns up and boil him in chip fat.
