My rule of thumb is to drink a bottle of red, fill the bottle and then drink the same amount of water. No dehydration = no hangover.
Works every time.

The Spanish locals do that. 50/50 in a glass

Only red for me. Current favourite is one by 19 Crimes. Very nice.

If you like this try apothic, Sainsbury’s, Morrison, asda, all sell it a pound or two more expensive than 19 but very nice with or without food.

Wine is the only red thing I like. Rioja, Pinotage and Malbecs usually, but the Yellow Tail Shiraz is also a favourite with the missus and me.
White, usually Chardonnay, and if you like them, try the Kooliburra Reserve from Aldi. It tastes better than far more expensive ones, and a 'wine snob' mate raved about it when I challenged him to compare it. It's £3.99 a bottle!
