The lad has had a serious knee injury and maybe City have taken the view that he's not looking like the same player he was before that happened. With only a year left on his contract we may have done a decent deal here. Especially with the expected drop in the market this summer.
Only time will tell. What sticks in the craw about this is that Bayern have got away with tapping-up yet again. Had it been us they would have run screaming to UEFA. They're the masters of double standards.
