Yeah should have gone after them in 2014. Absolutely disgusting trick and I was surprised back then we did not fight it. Perhaps we were confident they would not bother us again but here we are...

Actually it was the right thing to do. The sanctions weren't that bad and, most importantly, they gave us a clean slate. Otherwise, we'd have almost certainly failed the following year and had no get-out.
