I don’t think it was that he didn’t want to as much as he didn’t really care enough to take them off the strikers. He gave an interview where he was like, yeah penalties are more for the forwards to get them goals.He didn't want to take them,he is talking now like he is the new captain and taking responsibility

NBCSN are full on bandwagon jumpers. For the last two seasons it’s been a City love-in but this year they have really bought in to the Dipper hype.A lot of the time, you wouldn't think so.
