I thought he was ok tonight. I still think THB is the better prospect, but I’m not sure we’re going to be able to develop two centre backs at the same time.
I’m surprised we haven’t seen more of him. He looked fantastic in preseason (admittedly it was preseason but he also looked good in the cup games when he and Garcia played)

There was a story that HB acted too big for his boots in an EFL Trophy game and that'd be the last we saw of him this season for the first team. But I'm not 100% clued in so it could be something completely different.

thought he was right on the edge last night but great mental strength, after a bad injury, to come through that playing a very high line. Real test for the lad, he did really well without playing fantastically, if that makes sense.

If he played as well as everyone on here is saying then the rest of the defence were dreadful as we got done time and time again and could easily have conceded 4/5 goals but for wasteful finishing. We looked vulnerable to the ball over the top, on his and Walker’s side and he appears slow on the turn and weak in holding players off. Hopefully he can fill out and improve that area of his game.

I never really seem to notice him on the pitch, he reads things exceptionally and just gets on with things with quiet efficiency. A world-class defender in the making.

Let’s not get too carried away. World class is Vincent Kompany, Van Dijk and Wio’s level.
