come on who will be in their local this weekend

Been for a wander round Birmingham this afternoon. Most decent restaurants open, most decent pubs closed.

Know quite a few decent operators who say they're delaying by a week, to see what happens. Sensible, if you can afford it.

Only one pub I spotted, the Briar Rose, with a queue outside it. Certainly much quieter than a normal Saturday afternoon.

Going to be a long road back, I fear.

Lot of decency that.

As the witching hr comes more people turning up and more nobheads already with a skinfull in them.

Time to go home

Only half the pubs open in Ashton u lyne, not as many out as I thought. But it's only early, might be different tonight.
Not like it used to be anyway Ashton , most go to Stalyvegas ot town .

Recently moved and only been in pub closest once before lockdown. Messaged them during week asking what situation was and they replied no bookings available but they had left few places open for walk-in. Went for walk at lunchtime got in no problem. Well organised, one door in one out, plenty of social distancing. I had couple pints in beer garden. Went to another one then, same, well organised, took name n number, order drink at bar and they brought it to table

I’ve just wandered down to my local again, thought I’d have a couple and watch first half of Wolves game, changed my mind though as the pub looked a lot busier than earlier. Just doesn’t float my boat being in a busyish pub quite yet.

Really? I though stalybridge died a death years ago once Ashton got a tram to town.
