It really was just one of those games. Another day we could have scored 5 or 6. Fair play to Southampton they threw bodies at everything.

As soon as we failed to equalize before half time the result was inevitable.
We have become flat track bullies capable of putting 4 past teams when we take the lead, but as soon as we concede, Im afraid we just dont have the character to even equslize let alone win.

I can’t see this miraculously changing much next season if there is hardly any break in between.

Fernandinho, Bernardo and Zinchenko (Gabby to a lesser degree) all poor. De Bruyne was playing hungover, it seems.

Cancelo was our best player. Taking off Sterling and Mahrez who are our only two wide players that can create and dribble past defenders, made our attack easier to defend.

Created enough chances to get a positive result. Let down after the Liverpool game. One of those days where nothing worked, I guess.

9th defeat of the league season. Whole squad needs overhauling. Very one paced going forward. Defensively weak and many players just going through the motions.

Is anyone really that bothered about this game? We aren’t really playing for anything and Southampton played quite well

some of the unbelievably negative reactions make no sense to me
