I personally not so secretly think they found out sometime shortly after the date was announced.

Hopefully around the time pep's positivity noticeably increased publicly.

I doubt the club would’ve found out that early. If we have won but don’t yet have the final verdict, it could be that the hearing went really well and we were able to deliver on our promise of irrefutable evidence, so any perceived positivity around the club over the past few weeks could be as a result of that rather than knowing the result itself.

While there are definitely reasons to be optimistic, I still can’t get ahead of myself.

I'd agree with you in most cases, the high moral ground is the best place to be. In this case however when you are fighting against a filthy underhand cabal you have to get your foot on its metaphorical neck and squeeze like a bugger.
