Harrogate Town V Notts County BT Sport

Harrogate another of those clubs who have a wealthy owner but not much of a fan base.

Went with Darlington a couple of times, good away day.

Seems the popular thing to do now, bring a little club up at a cheaper price instead of taking on the debt of an existing football league club.

Watched some good honest games in non league watching Southport , and todays final was a good advert for the "5th division" , its refreshing to watch players going in strongly for 50/50 tackles and they both get on with the game , compared to some Premier league prima donnas rolling about in agony trying to get the oppostion sent off.

So Harrogate have been promoted and now have about a month to rip up their 3G pitch and replace it with a grass one so they can go up. Its a good job they have got a wealthy backer as that cost (and the loss of the revenue stream from it being used every day of the week) could have caused them real issues before they'd even started

Some of the rules to enter the EFL make the cartel that carve up UEFA look reasonable.

You would have thought, with all that’s going on, that the EFL would waive that rule for this year.

I Still think replacing the 4G pitch and losing out on the revenue from community use is going to be very costly. Especially with no fans in the ground for the foreseeable future. Harrogate will have to keep costs down as I don’t think there owner is Sheik Mansour!

Well done Harrogate! Well deserved too after finishing 2nd in their league.

They play only a couple of miles from where I live and it seems a nice, friendly club.
Saw Darlington on their ground a few seasons ago.A nice cheap pint of John Smiths in the club bar beforehand
