GM scoreboard is still high but showing improvement in most places. Though Stockport is starting to trend up which is a bit of a worry - though I suspect inevitable and not yet in real trouble. But soon might be if it carries on.

Total cases are 149 out of the NW 280 - which in itself is actually an improvement as it is barely over 50%.

This is up on yesterdays 116 and way up on the 97 last Wednesday.

The governments handling of covid19 recently has been appalling.
They need to just get on with it now even without a vaccine.

This is most notable in Spain and France that have had much bigger second waves than the UK so far, but fotunately the death rates have remained very low with hardly any rise at all.

so how on earth is Trafford on lockdown again when it’s pop score and new cases in the last week is much lower than other areas of greater Manchester ????

This is the link for the steroids research

The steroids do not work for those with milder symptoms, but the evidence strongly suggests that they reduce the lung inflammation in patients with COVID-19 who are seriously ill and require oxygen support for their breathing difficulties, regardless of age or sex

Any news on those cancer figures? Maybe nobody gets that anymore. At least that's a positive. What you sew....
