sad to see barca acting like the smallest of clubs. They’ve basically come out and said that Messi is bigger than Barcelona. They’re holding him hostage on a technicality in his contract that came around because of a pandemic and are willing to keep messi knowing he doesn’t want to be there. How can they market him or put him forward for interviews? How can he be the captain, when he’s made it crystal clear he doesn’t want to be there?

This coming season is going to be a clusterfuck with covid still calling the shots. Sign Messi now, pay a huge fee and have him playing in front of 1/4 full stadiums. Take him on a free next season when things may be a bit better.

Yeah, he didn't seem phased by it being his Spain debut. Seemed to want the ball and run at defenders and like you say got an assist. Still very raw but he defo has potential. Plus I'm just trying to see positives from the past 24 hours! Lol

Didn't think he was raw. His positioning pass selection , and decision making were very good, definitely not an uncooked carrot.

The Ronaldo fan boys will be smiling tonight as one of their strongest arguments for him being the GOAT is that Messi has never tested himself in more than 1 club

He had the chance to shut them up and never took it
Whatever you think of Ronaldo, he's done it in Italy, Spain and England, as well as Portugal.

Outstanding player, big ego but rightly so!
