I didn’t, but I’d like to have seen it!

Since you won’t leave it alone nor will I .. How do you know what I’m ‘prepared to pay!’ Or indeed if I’m prepared to pay anything? I can assure you numbers have never been discussed with me so who tells you this stuff and for what reason

Thinking face

And why is it ok to just write it?

#CPFC are prepared to pay £19m plus £6m in add-ons for #LFC striker Rhian Brewster. In a previous version of this story, Sky Sports News incorrectly reported Crystal Palace had made a formal bid.

The team tonight reinforces how crazy it is to me not to swap Zinchenko out for a left back during this window. I know Ake can technically play there but wouldn't we be so much better off with a capable specialist backup?
May be a bit late to search for a Lb now as it seems whoever sty try to sign they become too expensive. Plus no decent LB available.

Messi has attacked the board again on Instagram re: Suárez leaving in the way he did.

You love to see it!

I think the last thing we all want is for City to panic buy and be left with an expensive dud of a centre half.

If the board think there isn't sufficient value in the market this summer and want to hold fire then we have to trust them. Koulibaly's performance against Barcelona certainly didn't bode well and while I know that was a once off, paying £70-80m for a 29 year old after that has to be a sure thing and I think he's far from that. Gimenez is a warrior but unfortunately comes with severe injury risk which we just don't need. Kounde would be an interesting prospect but again, the briefs are that the club want a commanding plug in and play leader, so again he doesn't really fit that bill.

With Garcia leaving, Otamendi on the way out and Stones' future up in the air, it's looking like we'll need 2-3 centre backs over the next few transfer windows and it's imperative we get recruitment spot on. So let it play out and count our lucky stars the board didn't panic on Maguire 12 months ago ;)
