Imagine if the press & media had loved City & The project since The Sheik bought us.

Imagine if they had waxed about a famous old club with legions of loyal, funny , self deprecating local fans trying to take on the establishment clubs.

Imagine what would’ve happened if they applauded the visionary ‘ speculate to accumulate ‘ plan of a successful modest young business man.

What could’ve been, if they had just given due credit to the reign of Bobby Manc, the era of Manuel Pelligrini, the appointment of the finest coach on the Planet, Pep Guadiola.

How would we be perceived globally if the multiple record breaking seasons we’ve had were report as “ Brilliant....Breathtaking....The Best Ever....Scientific....Balletic...Unsurpassed....England’s Best....Europe’s Finest ?

How many more youngsters would now be shirt buying fans ? How many million more hits would MANCITY get ? How big would our global social media presence be ? How much more would the club be worth ? How many City players would’ve won POTS, TOS, GOS,SOS,MOS etc ? Would Vinny have been awarded a civic or civil honour by The Queen or Government for his modest work for Manchester’s homeless ?

Call me old fashioned if you like but, if the ‘ Beckham Factor’ had have been judiciously applied to City or the facts just reported accurately, without bias, lies, distortion, favouritism or casual racism, do you think City’s position in world football would be different ?

Reading this post reminds me of that iconic song by the late John Lennon Imagine.

So thanks for that, but I kinda like them bastards hating us, it makes me love City, our owners, fans and the place itself even more.

I think the negative media coverage has damaged us commercially and made it harder for us to develop. Perception is everything when it comes to business decisions by sponsors. That's why I disagree with the policy of the club not to be more proactive in tackling some of the treatment we have endured in the media.
However I also believe that the constant attacks on our club have galvanised our players and other people at the club to perform magnificently. There is nothing better than a siege mentality to inspire teams. It is possible we would have had less success on the field if we had been given an easy ride. Look at the way United have reacted to being mollycoddled by the press. Perhaps we will always be the anti-establishment club and that's the way most hard-core fans like it.

If we stick to the rules contained in any competition, as we have done over the last decade, and we recruit some of best players on the planet, some of the best coaching staff available, play some of the best football seen in the PL, it doesn't matter what shite the RDAHMeedya write, we have seen with our own eyes. They can shove their lies, propaganda and vitriolic and bile-filled agendas up their ample arses.

The Beeb had a story the other day about Woodward at the swamp.

£900 mill spent on players since 2013 it said.
£120 mill in interest on debts in 5 years.
£90 mill in owners dividends in last 5 years

But the story was angled at Woodward, not at the club, not at the owners. It was pro-united throughtout.

There in is the difference.

Interesting to see Bobby Duncan is back from Italy and has signed for Derby County, but I've seen three reports in the Mail, BBC and Sun, and all of them mention him as if his only previous club was Liverpool. He was with us from the age of ten and the dippers for about five minutes before he fell out with them. They media really are trying to erase us from history, although true to form the rancid Liverpool fan base are piling in to him for having the cheek to leave as if he had cost them millions.

its funny that somebody can spend so much money on football and never ask for a penny back and the media think its wrong ? what gets me is the transfers and players we sign the money is going back into the game and selling clubs milk us for every million they can get out of us then moan like fuck

i truly believe that the amount of hate in football is based on lies from the elite clubs shit scared of being over taken by manchester city ? sheik-mansour buys united or liverpool or barcelona he would be talked about like this saviour of the game and without the input football would have died

so from every game city win, to winning the title, to every cup game, to winning the cups, manchester city have to beat the system first then the team we are facing ?

just think about that for a minute ? when city are getting beat by lyon the players must know its impossible to win when see the goal being given when clearly both the offside and the foul on laporte was waved away ? KDB said it and got away (its every year) and because it was thought it was a moan about pep and the city team it was forgot, but it was a dig at UEFA and the hate
