Fifa: Gareth Bale and Zlatan Ibrahimovic query EA Sports game image rights

The fact that both comments were followed fairly swiftly with a comment from their respective agents should tell you exactly what this is about.

Perhaps even more relevant, both comments followed the news FIFA paid David Beckham $40m for the right to use his image forever.

It was special in that ISS Pro games were easily the best football games ever made at that point. During the PS1 and PS2 era Pro/PES were better than fifa by a humongous margin.
Graphics wise they pushed it!! But a lot of them early PS1 footy games gameplay wise were naff

I had Adidas Power Soccer, Olympic Soccer, Soccer 97, FIFA 98, Actua Soccer and ISS Pro etc. Olympic Soccer was a great laugh but looked like it was made for a Sega mega drive!!

EA have denied it was that high. Seems an unrealistic figure tbh.

But you are right in the sense that want to detach their image rights from their clubs and fifpro and negotiate individually. Same greedy instincts as those behind the push for a European Super League.

Well it makes sense for Beckham though. He's no longer a player, so he should be able to negotiate his image rights as an individual. Players, as far as I know, almost always sign over their image rights to the clubs and leagues they play for.

It’s a case of a pair of greedy cunts with their greedy agent wanting more Cash.

The Rich Robbie Savage touched a nerve with Riola on talkshite this morning when he called him out for exactly what it is and the **** hung up.

Got to hand it to Beckham, he has very good people around him. While most ex-players have to go into coaching, punditry and other avenues which can be challenging, he's not had to struggle like them and is still making lots of money while having it relatively easier compared to his colleagues.
