West Brom (h) post-match thread

The Season is over.

Roll on the summer and make some proper changes to the first 11.

3-4 players need sold.

3 quality players purchased- CF,LB, AM.

No point looking at the table each week.

The attack is broken and will not be fixed this season.

That'll be the narrative coming out of the club like it was last summer. An "aggressive" window only to prick about and end up with none of our top targets

The only logical explanation I can think of is it’s CL or bust this year and we’re good enough defensively to make top 4 so why tire ourselves out.

Or some fucking horseshit like that.
Haha yeah we are certainly gonna win the CL with this overthinking, coward of a manager when he failed so spectaculary with our squads with actual good players despite getting handed the easiest draws imaginable on a platter.

Our stars have left the building, the passengers remains. Top 4 this season would be a miracle, and maybe if we actually don't paper the cracks and have a complete disaster of a season finally Txiki and his recruitment might be looked at. We will finish under United and that absolute clown of a Norwegian PE teacher this season for the first time in 8 years, and nothing is being done about it. We are lucky if we get 2 subs out of Pep after watching shit-on-a-stick walking football for 80 mins, and the only thing that actually works atm is our defence and even that he is hell-bent on destroying by completely changing it up every chance he gets.

They
Not good enough for sure but it is difficult when teams defend like that and then get a spwany goal.

People will complain no doubt about the two holding midfielders but Gundog was our best player.

The players have to do better more often with the final ball and their finishing but that's not a new story.

We need a new striker and a holding midfielder who can do the job on his own but in the meantime, the current players have to up their games.

They cant ‘up’ their games. They arent good enough. This is as good as they are. Very average.

Can see us losing to Southampton on Saturday
No shame in that, they’re a good side with a proper identity. Their forward players actually look dangerous as well. If only the same could be same for us. Embarrassing the amount of money that’s been spent on that team to look so fuckin lethargic and devoid of ideas.

Uninspiring boring team. Toothless forwards across the pitch. No hunger nor any sense of urgency for the majority of the game. Gundo was the best player on the pitch for us.

As someone who watches with a certain amount of detachment I would proffer that Ake, Cancelo, Mendy and Rodri are not good enough for a team of Citys calibre. DeBruyne needs a break and Stirling and Jesus are out of form.

Having said all that better finishing and or decisions and final pass would still have seen a winner. I simply cannot understand why City have to wait until the final 15 minutes to play with more urgency.

Sick to death of Pep's "respect" for other teams - fuck that, strike fear into opponents that was GPC's mantra

we win a couple of games and we are right near the top of the league. Ridiculous post from a wet lettuce
We're not beating west Brom at home. He's playing United and Liverpool and not creating anything. We're scoring 1 goal vs teams like sheff Utd. But yeah, we're gonna go to Southampton and Chelsea and win.
He won't play Torres, won't play Bernardo, setting Foden up to fail, playing 2 holding midfielders at home to West Brom. Pep has to go
